Nestled in the picturesque village of Grundisburgh, just two miles from Woodbridge and close to the Suffolk coast, The Dog is a traditional pub at the heart of the community. We’re proud to offer a proper country pub experience—complete with a cosy bar, a crackling log burner, and a relaxed restaurant serving seasonal British food made with locally sourced Suffolk produce with menus changing monthly.

Enjoy a choice of real ales, served from the hand pump or straight from the barrel, alongside a thoughtfully selected wine list and a range of wines by the glass. In warmer months, take a seat outside and soak up the charm of the village from our front terrace.

True to our name, we’re a proudly dog-friendly pub, welcoming dogs in both the bar and restaurant. Children are also welcome in the restaurant, making The Dog the perfect place for families, friends—and furry companions—to gather, relax, and enjoy good food and drink in good company.
